Dream Of Heem

His name was Heem

He had a dream

His back was off the wall

Outside the gleam

Of his dream

Heem felt mighty small

He’s not caught in a cast-out kingdom

Oh no not at all

He’ll tell you ‘bout it

If he’s gotta shout it

The trick is to start to crawl

Was that Heem

You thought you’d seen

Raving on the street?

Was that Heem

Who sang so sweet?

You threw coins at his feet

He’s not a dot in the midst of millions

Some cold old far star

A code of flashes

In passing fashions

You don’t know how close you are

(Did you hear?

Is it clear?

It’s all here)

Another scene

You seem to see

A glimpse of Heem again

A street a dream

A mirror’s gleam

Familiar as a friend

Don't get caught in the big distinctions

If it’s him or you

We take our places

And we find our faces

Any one for sure will do
