It's Gonna Show

Rolling on down the highway, my I
Never felt so free
Even these ugly billboard signs
Do not bother me

‘Cause I know
It’s gonna show

Look at that mask the mayor wears
It shows what it tries to hide
Look up and see that bluebird singing
Swimming in the sky

And you know
It’s gonna show

Why would you wait on a movie line
When you can live your life?
Why do you need an opinion
About what is advertised?

‘Cause you know
It’s gonna show

Why should you pay for pleasure
You can make yourself?
Make it with other people—
What a wishing well!

And you know
It’s gonna show

I’m calling out to you valentines
Who have had enough
It’s about time we had some fun
The weather’s been so rough

‘Cause you know
It’s gonna show
