Come To Me

Come to me, I’m waiting here
Beneath the busy sky
Stars shimmer, planes slither
Through the breathing night

Come to me, the slivered moon
Is floating like a boat
Curved upward just above us
Glowing like a bone

You can hear the restless air
Shiver in the trees
Smooth water slurring under
Streets beneath our feet

You can hear the soundless sound
A presence in the air
Not whispered, never distant
Here and everywhere

Is this something
Other than a burning ray?
I don’t believe that this will
Fade away

You can feel the hum behind
The motions of your mind
A chorus of noisy voices
Strive to find their rhyme

You can feel the humble grasses
Tremble when we kiss
This is the moment of our
Neverending bliss
